The pic (although now a little out of season) is of Chief Gene Survillo as
Santa (riding Winston) and myself Keith MacDonald as an elf, (riding
Magnus). We are both Boston Park Rangers and took an opportunity this past
Christmas season to don some festive attire and spread some holiday spirit
to some local Boston neighborhoods. We even had some goodies to distribute
thanks to several Boston based companies who donated some small gifts and
trinkets to support our efforts. It was a huge success, resulting in lots of
smiling faces and horn toots.
Best Regards,
Keith
This is a photo of my favorite little filly gracy. She was born, unknown, in a back field. She was carried back into the barn. No one knew that anything was wrong with her, but they soon found out. She had a bad fever and wasn't getting the antibodies she needed. I went to help take care of her with my friend, and Gracy was such a sweet little thing! She seemed to get better, but her motor skills definitely weren't very good. She was soon wobbling all over the place. The vet said she had water on her brain and there wasn't much hope. On Dec, 21, 2006, just before Christmas, they put her down. There wasn't anything thing else to do. We went up to say goodbye, and she was happy to see us, but it was painful to see how her bones were sticking out, to see her bumping into the sides of her stall. So we said goodbye. Horses must go to heaven! We will miss her.
~ Thanks,
Maxina
Blue Mead Makes Memories at Vermont Summer Festival

Local farm Bluemead Stables, sent 5 girls and 5 horses to Vermont Summer Festival this summer. they go up annualy every year for 2 weeks but this year was different. The girls went up to Manchester Vermont in early August ready to have fun and show. Not only were they ready to have fun but they were ready to kick some butt. Anna Srozynski, Meredith Brown, Casey Luttmann, Flora Gibbs, and Andrea Robbins not only had a wonderfull time at the great show grounds but in Westin Vermont they all stayed in one big house. All 5 girls in one room. From the juniors to the short sturrippers, the girls were like sisters. The horses were stabled at the trainers local beautiful barn. The girls got to have fun on trails and gallop threw the mountains. But the girls put hard work in too every morning the girls woke up got ready and headed to the barn mucked the barn turned out horses and rode. This was durring the week but on the weekends the girls were ready to go to the show and compete.
Anna rode All of Me (oliver) to reserve champion both weekends in the Short Sturripu Hunter. Meredith rode Cranberry Acres Dandelion ( Danny) and got champion in the Children's Hunter Pony sm/med and 11/unders. Casey Luttmann rode Valor to 4th over all in the childrens hunter pony larges. Flora Gibbs aboard Emire won top ribbons in the Childrens Hunters 13/u and was 7th in the show circuit magazine medal and the charles owen medal. Andrea Robbins on Lexington (Bentley) started off their first week slow but made a come back in the second week to winning back to back o/f and 2nd in the other one in the Childrens Hunter Horse 14-17. They were Champion in the Childrens and 3rd in the marshall and sterling. the girls did great and were very sad to have to leave this paradise but were ready for finals. When the girls got home Andrea got a package in the mail saying she and Lexington were circuit champions in the childrens and for only being there for 2 out of the 5 weeks it was a great accomplishment. This was the last year for all the girls together at Bluemead. Some of the girls have moved barns but will never forget this wonderful memory of the green mountains, wonderful view, and of course being with there best friends horses and girls.
Andrea Robbins & Lexington Win Circuit Champion

Andrea Robbins rode Lexington to a wonderful win at the 2006 Vermont Summer Festival. Andrea has owned Lexington for 2 years now and rides every day at Bluemead Stables. Everyday after school rain or shine Andrea is there practicing. Andrea went up to Manchester Vermont for the fifth time this year. She went up for two weeks to enjoy the wonderful show. The first week Lexington and Andrea got 2nd and 5th in the o/f out of 25. She was 4th in the Marshall and Sterling Classic. They also won 3rd in the Show Circuit Magazine Medal. They also got ribbons in the 12-14 eq. The second week got even better. They were 3rd overall in the 12-14's. She won 2nd in the Charles Owen Medal with a tough call back test. And to top it off won back to back classes and 2nd in the in the Children’s Hunter Horses 14-17. She also won 3rd in the Marshall and Sterling out of 35. Lexington and Andrea won Champion of that week. Andrea went home unknowing of the wonderful news. Andrea was home when her mother gave her a package from Vermont Festival. Andrea opened the box to find a circuit champion ribbon. For only showing in Vermont for 2 out of the 5 weeks and being champion of all 5 in the Children’s Hunter Horses 14-17 was a great accomplishment. Congrats Andrea for a awesome win and good luck in 2007 with Lexington.
RI Rider Awarded Sportsmanship Award at Harrisburg

For 61 years the annual Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg has been considered to be one of the most prestigious shows in the country. Competitors must qualify for the show based on the USEF National Horse of the Year points they win during a
qualifying period. Madison Brayman of Charlestown, RI qualified to ride Tippy Hedron in the Small Pony Hunter division for the second year in a row, a major achievement in and of itself. The pair not only captured a 7th place finish in the Small Pony Hunter Stake, but Madison was awarded the Pony Sportsmanship
Award and was given a saddle in recognition of that honor! Her parents, and all of Hunter Ridge, could not be any prouder! Congratulations, Madison!
